A Letter From the Desk of Ant Hodges

When I started my online business, there were so many different ways in which you could put a website together and sell information products. Times have changed!

Hi, my name is Ant Hodges and I've been in this internet marketing and information marketing world for since my teenage years - almost 25 years now!

The whole notion of trying to sell my information online was a relatively new thing for me when I first got started, but I was seeing that many were making lots of money selling ebooks on subjects like Dog Training, Power Boats and even Cake Decorating.

I would sit there late at night, taking content from libraries that would allow me to reuse it, create my own Word Document, add some clip art, use an online tool to convert it to PDF and then spend ages coding up an HTML page to sell try and sell it online.

My journey moved into using Wordpress for my websites and selling affiliate products was also a big thing for me too.

I would spend my evenings trying to connect all kinds of plugins together in order for me to be able to have lead pages or squeeze pages, long format sales pages and then be connecting them to my email autoresponder, Paypal and later shopping carts and affiliate carts.

It was hard work. I started to get really into this and started to serve other people too - I got really good at it and it became a business of my own - assisting them with all of their digital marketing, design and branding work.

I built a team that enabled me to run this as a marketing business. We were in this information marketing world for some time and we used all kinds of different systems to start to grow and develop our business.

We would buy subscription programs for software such as Infusionsoft, Click Funnels and Lead Pages. Optimize Press and Samcart too. All of our video hosting and media hosting would be done on platforms such as Wistia, Vimeo Pro, and also Amazon S3 - the challenge for me was when something broke or when even you wanted to integrate one system to another, the amount of work that was needed to be able to fix what was going could be so time-consuming. Even if you had support and backups running too, these were all additional costs. With all of these moving parts, there were so many things that could go wrong and all too often, there were so many things that did go wrong!

A few years ago, back in 2011, I found a piece of software that one of my mentors and coaches was actually using. He was using a system to be able to host membership websites that were separate from his WordPress. It was because it was a more secure area and you could connect things called "funnels" together in the right way. I still had to connect my email marketing system. I still had to connect my external shopping cart to it and all of these bells and whistles were still needed.

This one system though has developed and relaunched a few years ago into a full-featured online business system that allows me to host my website, allows me to host my digital products, all of my media, all of my downloads, it handles all of the email broadcasts, email sequences and all of my automation. One click upsells, list building, affiliate marketing and even live and evergreen webinars - it's all possible in this ONE system.
